Still Made in America Film
What can you say about the longest running manufacturing facility in the world that has been manufacturing the same product for over 110 years? A lot, and the best way to say it is with a film telling a little slice of its story.
In 2014 we set out to make a movie about the amazing White Oak facility and a "Safe" they had in their possession since the late 1800's. There was no record of the safe having ever been opened, so why not? Let's open the safe on film and see what we have. But in order to justify the production to the CEO and board we had to have a fall back plan for the film to be finished, because in all likely hood the safe would be empty wouldn't it?
That fall back plan was the amazing people themselves, but was the safe empty?
The film premiered at Kingpins in Amsterdam in 2015, it has been viewed over 20,000 times before it was first taken down and is a living homage to one of the greatest icons in denim history, the now closed White Oak Mill in Greensboro NC.
